Life–changing clarity. Real support. Proven results.
Our private psychiatry service is for adults (18+) across Northern Ireland who already have, or are seeking, structured medication support for ADHD. We work with three patient groups.
You completed an ADHD assessment with ADHD Now (or another recognised provider) and want to discuss whether medication is the right next step.
You hold an ADHD diagnosis from a different psychiatrist or service and want a Consultant Psychiatrist–led plan to start, optimise, or review medication.
You are already on ADHD medication and want to transfer your psychiatric oversight to a UK–regulated service that operates with full HSC awareness.
A clear, three–stage pathway starting from £49. You only progress to the next stage if it is clinically appropriate, so there is no upfront commitment to the full programme.

Every patient on the ADHD Now psychiatry pathway in Northern Ireland follows the same evidence–based clinical structure.
Your psychiatrist reads your existing assessment report or ADHD Now diagnosis and confirms it meets the standard required to safely start medication in the UK.
Cardiovascular history, blood pressure, mental health screening, and current medications are reviewed before any prescription is issued.
Medication is started at a low dose, with monthly reviews during titration. Adjustments are made based on your symptoms, side effects, and tolerability.
With your consent, we share copies of your private prescriptions and monitoring records with your HSC GP so your wider care team is fully informed.
After initiation, follow–up reviews keep your treatment on track and provide documentation for work, study, or shared–care discussions with HSC services.
You decide whether to proceed past the intake, whether to continue after the 3–month titration, and how often follow–up reviews happen.
Your psychiatry care is delivered by a Consultant Psychiatrist–led team based in Northern Ireland, operating under UK clinical governance, with full registration on the UK General Medical Council and supporting nursing and prescribing registers.
Choose a time that works for you. Evening and weekend appointments are typically available within 7 days.
Pricing, prescriptions, transfers, and how the service fits with HSC care in Northern Ireland.
Adults (18+) in Northern Ireland who have a confirmed ADHD diagnosis and want structured, Consultant Psychiatrist–led medication management. We work with three groups: people recently diagnosed by ADHD Now, people diagnosed by another provider, and people already on medication who want to transfer their psychiatric oversight to a UK–regulated service.
Pricing is split into three transparent stages. The intake consultation is £49 and is a one–off appointment to confirm whether medication is appropriate. If you proceed, the structured initiation & titration programme is £289 per month for three months (£867 total). Once stable, follow–up reviews are charged at £125 each, only when clinically required. Klarna monthly payment plans are available for the titration phase.
No. Most adults in Northern Ireland can self–refer and book the intake consultation directly. We will, with your consent, share copies of your prescriptions and monitoring records with your HSC GP so your wider care team is informed and able to support you.
Yes, in most cases. Your £49 intake consultation reviews your existing diagnostic report and any prior medication history. If the documentation meets UK clinical standards, we can either start titration with us or take over your existing prescription on the same structured pathway.
Yes. Our Consultant Psychiatrists are GMC–registered and authorised to prescribe ADHD medications in line with UK and Northern Ireland clinical guidelines. Private prescriptions issued by our team can be dispensed at registered UK pharmacies, including those across Northern Ireland.
In line with UK clinical guidelines, methylphenidate–based medications (such as Ritalin or Concerta XL) are typically considered first–line for adults. Lisdexamfetamine, dexamfetamine, and non–stimulant options (such as atomoxetine or guanfacine) may also be used depending on your clinical profile, response, and tolerability. Your Consultant Psychiatrist will explain the options and rationale at your intake.
The structured initiation & titration phase runs over three months, with a Consultant Psychiatrist appointment each month. The aim is to safely identify the right medication and dose for you. Most patients reach a stable, well–tolerated dose within this window. If more time is needed, your psychiatrist will discuss the right next step at your final titration review.
Once you have reached a stable dose, you move to follow–up reviews at £125 each, only when clinically needed — typically every 6–12 months. Through our partnership with Duality Healthcare, eligible stable patients can also access ongoing membership–based prescription continuity. Your psychiatrist will discuss the most appropriate option at the end of your titration.
With your consent, we share copies of your prescriptions, monitoring readings, and a clinical summary with your HSC GP. Whether your GP can later issue ADHD prescriptions on the HSC depends on local shared–care arrangements, which vary across Northern Ireland and are at the discretion of the GP and the HSC trust. Until any shared–care agreement is in place, prescriptions remain private.
Yes. Klarna is available for the £289 monthly initiation & titration appointments and for follow–up reviews, so the cost can be spread across manageable monthly instalments. Call 028 2544 0987 for more information.
The most commonly reported side effects of stimulant medication include reduced appetite, sleep disturbance, dry mouth, headache, and an increase in heart rate or blood pressure. Most are mild, transient, or dose–related, which is why we monitor them at every titration review. Your psychiatrist will go through the full risk profile, contraindications, and monitoring plan with you at intake.
All appointments are delivered online via secure video, so the service is accessible from anywhere in Northern Ireland — Belfast, Derry, Newry, Lisburn, Antrim, Down, Tyrone, Fermanagh, and Armagh. You only need a private space, a stable internet connection, and a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Book the £49 intake consultation and meet a Consultant Psychiatrist within days. If medication is not the right next step, the pathway stops there — with a clear written summary for you and your GP.
