Who We Are · Northern Ireland

Our Story

ADHD Now was born from three different journeys that all hit the same wall: ADHD is hard enough — getting help for it shouldn't be even harder. Today, we bring that mission to adults across Northern Ireland.

Matthew Gavin

Matthew Gavin

CEO & Founder

For years, Matthew felt like he was pushing forward but never quite understanding why life seemed harder than it should be. It wasn't until his late 20s, when he was finally diagnosed with ADHD, that the pieces started to fall into place.

That clarity didn't just change his life – it sparked a determination to make sure others could get answers without the same long, confusing fight, regardless of which side of the border they live on.

"My own struggle to obtain a clear diagnosis inspired me to found this company, so others wouldn't face the same challenges."

Daniel Buckley

Director & Founder

At the same time, Daniel "Danny" Buckley was going through his own turning point. Encouraged by his late wife, Simone, he sought support and eventually went for an ADHD assessment. The process was difficult and eye–opening: long waiting lists, confusing systems, and emotional barriers at every step.

When Danny finally received a diagnosis and the right support, everything changed. He became more grounded, more self–aware and, most importantly, more emotionally available in a way that strengthened his relationship with his son.

Danny became determined to make sure others didn't have to crash through the same barriers – especially adults in regions like Northern Ireland, where HSC waiting lists for adult ADHD assessment can stretch into years.

Jack Starling

Jack Starling

Director & Founder

Matthew and Danny had the lived experience and the mission. Then they came together with Jack Starling, who brought the operational and healthcare experience to build the kind of service they wished they'd had.

Jack had previously served in senior roles at one of the largest mental health clinics on the island of Ireland, working at the intersection of growth, operations, patient experience and digital innovation. At ADHD Now, he focuses on making sure the service is not only clinically robust, but also accessible, efficient and easy to navigate — in Northern Ireland and beyond.

Bringing ADHD Now to Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland deserves the same access to ADHD care.

Adults across Northern Ireland face some of the longest HSC waiting lists in the UK for adult ADHD assessment. ADHD Now operates a Consultant Psychiatrist–led private service in Belfast, Derry and across the region, delivering assessment, diagnosis and structured psychiatry care online — without the years–long wait.

Adult ADHD Assessment

Consultant Psychiatrist–led diagnosis from £49 intake, with formal report and HSC GP coordination.

Adult Psychiatry & Medication

Structured initiation, titration and follow–up reviews under UK clinical governance and GMC oversight.

Cross–Border Continuity

UK–regulated clinicians supported by the wider 30+ ADHD Now group across Ireland and the UK.

Duality Healthcare

Our partnership with Duality Healthcare

To deliver dependable ongoing care across Northern Ireland, we partner with Duality Healthcare, a Northern Ireland–based clinical group with established physical clinics in Omagh, Ballymena and beyond. ADHD Now leads on adult ADHD assessment, diagnosis and structured psychiatry, while Duality Healthcare provides ongoing membership–based prescription continuity and a regional clinical footprint for stable patients post–titration. The partnership lets us combine the clinical depth of a specialist national ADHD service with locally embedded, NI–based ongoing care — with ADHD Now retaining clinical leadership over the assessment and psychiatry pathway.

Our Shared Mission

Together, Matthew, Danny and Jack founded ADHD Now with a clear goal: to build a service that people trust, that clinicians are proud to work in, and that genuinely improves the lives of those living with ADHD — in Northern Ireland, across the UK, and across Ireland. We want a future where no one waits in the dark for answers.
