ADHD Now was born from three different journeys that all hit the same wall: ADHD is hard enough — getting help for it shouldn't be even harder.
For years, Matthew felt like he was pushing forward but never quite understanding why life seemed harder than it should be. It wasn't until his late 20s, when he was finally diagnosed with ADHD, that the pieces started to fall into place.
That clarity didn't just change his life – it sparked a determination to make sure others could get answers without the same long, confusing fight.
At the same time, Daniel "Danny" Buckley was going through his own turning point. Encouraged by his late wife, Simone, he sought support and eventually went for an ADHD assessment. The process was difficult and eye-opening: long waiting lists, confusing systems, and emotional barriers at every step.
When Danny finally received a diagnosis and the right support, everything changed. He became more grounded, more self-aware and, most importantly, more emotionally available in a way that strengthened his relationship with his son.
Danny became determined to make sure others didn't have to crash through the same barriers – especially people with undiagnosed ADHD struggling in environments that don't understand or support them.
Matthew and Danny had the lived experience and the mission. Then they came together with Jack Starling, who brought the operational and healthcare experience to build the kind of service they wished they'd had.
Jack had previously served in senior roles with one of Ireland's largest mental health clinics, working at the intersection of growth, operations, patient experience and digital innovation. At ADHD Now, he focuses on making sure the service is not only clinically robust, but also accessible, efficient and easy to navigate.
Together, Matthew, Danny and Jack founded ADHD Now with a clear goal: to build a service that people trust, that clinicians are proud to work in, and that genuinely improves the lives of those living with ADHD. We want a future where no one waits in the dark for answers.
